Question Impossible Longevity of Unbranded DE blades

Okay. So I have these unbranded DE blades that are "Super Plus Platinum", made in Israel. They come in a small box tightly packed together in their paper wrappers. I thought they were Israeli Personnas from what I recall was a mantic59 youtube video but I certainly can't be sure. They are very sharp and last a while. Perhaps longer than any other blade I've used.

I did good pre-shave prep with a moist hot towel, estimated minimum of 10 minutes. I washed off my own skin oil (Axel grease as I like to call it) so you know I know how to do this part. I used one or two shave creams, nothing special. I flipped from one side of the DE to the other so edge degradation was most likely the same, didn't pay attention to flipping the blade over so probably randomly switched sides that way, too. What I was mindful of was flicking the blade and then carefully "stropping" it dry on a dry towel, sometimes also on my inner forearms. They are stainless blades, as most modern DE blades are, but thought it would be a good idea.

I was kind of keeping track but I lost it around the second week. I didn't shave every day but I estimate the shaves to be around 6, 7, maybe eight per edge? Like, around two weeks of shaves. The crazy part was I had consistently good, safe shaves that in addition to the facial shaves the last time I used it was to shave my arms and legs in the shower (I do this in the summer to conserve sunscreen, plus it makes it easier to put on, not to be a self-absorbed metrosexual pansy). So it was the equivalent of more than a couple of weeks. These blades were 18 cents each. The body hair shaving was close, quick, and comfortable (for what that usually entails). I put it away in an old DE blade dispenser reserved for the used up ones but I could retrieve it and check it out on the Radioshack microscope. I only put it away to be prevent a bad shave but it didn't feel necessary.

How the flarkin' heck do these Israeli blades last so long? Did they have the power to infuse some essence of H-shem into them, like melting metal from ancient religious relics or something? Are they somehow kosher to shave with, despite Koshraut law? Not that I care, just wondering.

Anyone else have experience with these or know who made them? I need to get the soundtrack to "Raiders of the Lost Ark" to play, you know, set the mood when shaving with them. I'm intrigued.

All I know is when they did shave (Nazarite vows) they shaved everything...maybe there is/was a lost book of razor forging?

I've been using Wilkinson blades (handy & get the job done) in my DE, but maybe I need to look up some of these Kosher blades.

    Peace,

Maybe your outstanding shave technique is allowing you to get all those shaves from that blade or maybe there is some Zen between you and those blades.

It is possible that they are the remnant shards of the once great sword-Excalibur! Oh wait...you said they were stainless steel. If you do find any more info on them, let us know, I am intrigued

Dude, the middle east makes amazing stuff. If it wasn't for them we wouldn't have IMI (uzi, galil, etc) or the ever wonderful women of the IDF...

When I used a DE, these were my favorite blades. However, can't say they lasted longer than any other blade for me... I have a tough beard so I only got 3 shaves max.
