Thread: Just thought I'd throw this out there

I started using alum block as an after shave and its prob the best thing I've found for stopping shaving zits and razor burn. It works like magic for me..... incase anybody has been curious about it

Yup, you are quite right, Alum is phenomenal stuff.
I switch between Thayers witch hazel and my Osma Alum block.
Alum is a good simple product that actually works, and it also adds brilliant grip to wet fingers for stretching and grip on the razor

Ive never tried witch hazel .... gonna have to get some and try it thanks!!

I find that alum and witch hazel are must haves for the shaving kit. I was hesitant on the alum for quite a while, but recently got to a point where I realized that the cost per year of use is nominal for even the most thrifty of shaver provided you don't drop it.
Witch hazel is nice because it is readily even the thayer's is carried by GNC.

+1 on the previous high recommendations for alum blocks. I began wet shaving using an alum block as an astringent.

I don't use it as much now. I moved over to witch hazel for daily use. However, when I travel I pack a block of alum in my shaving kit.

I got some witch hazel today I kinda live in the middle of nowhere so I had to settle for the store brand... but I liked it it work well thanks for the suggestion
