Thread: Budget lightbox

Just put this together last night and this morning.

Took a trip to a liquor store for a champagne box, cost $0.

Dollar store for bristol board and tissue paper, cost $2

Ikea, three lamps on sale for 4.99 each, cost $15

Bulbs for lamps , cost $3

Total set-up cost, $20 including Ontario taxes.


It works pretty good. I need to learn how to play with the shadows, but that's part of the fun!

Thanks Maxi! Have been wanting to build a light box on the cheap but needed some ideas. I have a few light sockets laying around that can be used, just need to find them. Had planned to build one out of wood but a cardboard box would work better with less work and expense....
