About the little 'smiley' I could shrink the size and it would stop doing the plllzzze thing but then it wouldn't be any fun.

OK, OK, !!
Here's mine...I finished the scales for my Packwood.
I was able to get away with only six coats of True Oil, lightly sanding with steel wool (0000) between each coat, the last coat sat for 24 hrs. to make sure finish was totally cured, then sanded with steel wool until no shine was apparent, then with 3000 grt. 3M Trizact. Then followed up by hand rubbing with Howards Restor a Shine, and a couple applications of Jubilee kitchen wax.

Hopefully I'll get the wedge made tomorrow and Git r Done.!!!

I hated to replace scales on razors, but if there was significant damage, or a crack/split at the pin area, I'd get Val to replace them, I always tried to stay "traditional", but the thought of a blade dropping out and breaking, or chomping down through the scales and cutting, or the one thing that drives me nuts - blades not centered in the scales properly, quickest was to stupidly kill an edge.

The Bog scales will be awesome....5000 year old wood mixed with unknown and untold bio matter...

really nice looking scales outback. great shine. i tried using wood a couple times. found i didnt have near the patience for all those coats, cure time, sanding, over -n- over. your dedication is inspiring.

Only swap it made, was from the ugly cell scales they were crammed and rusted into when I took her from the wilds. [emoji4]
But I guess I'm guilty of it too, cause yer always right. [emoji56]
