I have a W&B 4/8. I wanted so bad for it to be in the “7” because it’s so smooth a shave, alas it’s been honed to death. I never did find another... nice gift!

The second one is mocked up. Time to take them apart and give them a soak in some light mineral oil for a day or two.

What size are those Shaun? They look like shorty's but I don't think so.

They are so wide they look short. Nice ones!

    Currently 9/8 full width.
The one has a small chip. It should finish out just over 8/8 on the set down. The other will be full width. They are the largest Kropp razors I have ever seen. I have never seen another or a picture of another larger than 7/8. They are amazing and quite thinly ground.

Today I made a couple of Acrylic/Lace scales. Got them finished.

Got one razor pinned up and it centered beautifully. Thanks all for the help.

I can see centering won't be such a big deal from now on. At least when you do things in the proper order. Ha.
The second set of scales were a bit tight at the pivot. And instead of making the hole a little wider, you guessed it, POP.

There's my little buddy giving it a closeup look to see if it's fixable. Well, Damn! It's a pretty thing. Too bad I don't have enough to make one scale and fix it up. I will have a beautiful templet for this shape scale I guess.

I was so disgusted at myself so making such a bonehead move, I tossed the broken on in the trash. Guess I'd better go dig it out. Thanks, Tom!

You can use a very thin G-10 liner too!
