That Savage and the Wosty.. Crazy how good they are looking! Have fun with that Savage, I've never shaved with one of those, but if looks could determine then I think it will be great.
I'm also looking forward to a comparison between the Never Dull and the Tornblom. I am a big fan of Klas Tornblom razors, but though I haven't tried that Never Dull, I think it will be a good one. It has beautiful lines.
The ivory scales look like a perfect match! And they have been waiting for a blade for 10years or so.

I put the Frechy on the stones and it took a bit of work to get a bevel set. But that was expected being a near wedge and with all the sanding I did. But in the end it took a nice edge. The bevel is a little wider than I like but I didn't want too great of a bevel angle so I stuck with one layer of tape. Then, I figured I had all the stuff out so I touched up 3 more razors that I had honed before I really had an understanding of honing.


It sure is nice to be able to look and feel and understand what is going on between the stone and the blade. Two were finished on the 20K. 1 on the Arkie and 1 on a Jnat. The naturals are still not really clear to me yet, but they sure felt good in the end. Popping hairs easy.

I got 7 now that need a test shave. And since I only shave every two days now, that's two weeks. I've spent a lot of time on the stones getting my collection up to snuff these last few weekends.

I ended up using a lead wedge on the Never Dull, Mike.
She's perfectly balanced.

I honestly can’t wait to get the package from Outback. Eventually I need to find a better way to display such nice work.

Mike- yep I was wondering how it would balance, I've become particular about that, as well as the space between blade and wedge, so many of the SR I've purchased have close to an half inch there! Lol.
And the wedges I've been seeing are flat, and clearly hurting the scales, going through my razors I've got a bunch that need to be fixed.

MrZ- I've been thinking the same thing more and more!
Got all these SR locked up in cases... How to display them while protecting them from RH and from my kids.
I'm gonna have to find a plastic glass company, have them cut some Lexan and I'll make a case with RH control...
And laser beams! Dang it, I want laser beams! Lol

We need a GIF of a Gatling Gun firing scales.

Shaved with the E. Barberon (20K Edge) and the H. Boker (Jnat Edge) and both turned out to be great shavers. Fine edges on both. If I had to pick one edge over the other I couldn't. Both were very fine and comfortable.
Only clean strops used so no pastes or special strop dressing were used. I think I'd rather use the H. Boker as its more along the weight and grind that I prefer, but both were excellent shavers and gave a BBS shave. I don't get BBS that often but now and then it all comes together perfectly.

The Barberon is a big heavy blade, and not what I enjoy using as much, but the shave it gave was very nice. Used it for the Shave of the Day Pic.

Doing some razor piddling to-day. Finishing some unfinished projects.
Finally did the silver rubnbuff in the tangs stamps on my 6/8 Top Flight and pinned-up my 6/8 Blackie CMon.



Here they are with their 5/8 brethren. Austin's silver collars on all.
I need only to hone the 6/8 Blackie and all will be shaving. This ain't been easy, you know!
