I explained what your problem was

You simply have decided that "Everyone" is against you, which honestly seems to be true, but that could mean that everyone else is picking on you for no reason, or perhaps you might want to look at what you are doing to cause it

I am trying to help you here but you refuse to even consider that, you are a long time member which is the only reason why I am even attempting to explain that the problem is you..

You really might want to consider that you are causing your own Trend here...

I log on several times a day probably, mostly, and sometimes not. I must admit that I do not read all the posts and mostly only what interests me at the moment. With the help and information I have gleaned from this site I have progressed from a beginner to a somewhat proficient straight razor shaver and honer. At least to my standards anyway. In saying all that, I have not seen anything at all to what you seem to be professing. I have found in the several years I have been on this site that pretty much all of the people here have been most helpful and polite in their dealings with myself and others. In some cases, some may not have very been tactful or eloquent in their responses but I can maybe count that on one hand. This forum is one of the best moderated forums I have been a part of and I appreciate the efforts of all the moderators, pat on back to you people, and my thanks to you guys.

I think that it is important to help guys that want to learn what we do on this forum. I dislike when problems unrelated to the purpose of this forum are thrown into the mix for no other purpose than to show "what a good guy I am and you are chasing people away."
I have not seen any evidence of the complained trend. Admittedly I have not seen every post or response written. But I have seen members extend patience and courtesy of greater measure than the "Trend" herein complained.
Proper prior planning prevents piss poor performance.

    My two coppers worth:
I can't speak to anything that was present for other individuals. I have however been welcomed warmly. The pm messages I have received do show this continued niceness. I appreciate everything this community brings to my day and the diversity of people here.

I find that all social platforms bring out the best and the worst in people. And more often than not forum groups always have a dynamic of elitism. My thoughts as one of the new guys here is sometimes we fly off. It really is our responsibility to own it and simply say sorry. Arguments won amongst friends usually loses the friend. I consider you guys online friends/acquaintances and would hope if I said something hurtful, right or wrong, would be willing to apologize.

Most of the senior people here have known each other for many years, many of them are friends in real life.
If you pull open a can of insults and pour it in public over one of most senior members who has put over a decade of his life into helping this community, then many will just put you on their personal 'ignore' list.

Now, I have not personally experienced it, not saying that it does or does not happen, I won't be the judge of that

I don't see people ganging up on here, there are people with some opinions that are wary against different opinions, but that's everywhere

The eye of the beholder n'at

It's mostly a subjective matter in how people deal with things, reactions, situations; then again if serious threats are made that's another thing, even then don't take it too seriously, the internet is serious business n'at

Things are what you make from them

My personal experience has been great, good advice, open for questions, a lot of helpful guys; if I don't like something or someone, I ignore and avoid it/them, seems to be the best way (there's always those few everywhere and in every aspect of life, that's just how it is)

I have followed this and stayed away, but I think I have a unique point of view on this.

I have been a member , a Mod, and a Senior Mod...now just a member again. I have seen when all the reported posts come in and why. Most are justified and some are just from members that over-react or that they just don't like the op of that particular post.

The biggest thing in these forums is that there are "many ways to skin a cat" and sometimes we think our way is the "only" way. Here lies the under belly of when things get warped. If there is an individual that is only seeing his way, people start sneering and avoiding.

Like anything in life, not everyone agrees with everyone and not everyone gets along. I do things that some here would do differently, so I never push it. There are many here who have many years of experience and testing, thus I have tremendous respect for their ways. That doesn't mean i always do it their way.

For places like this to be at their best, we need tolerance and that respect.

The payoff is HUGE. It has been for me.

Let's turn the page, move on and learn from each other.

As a relative newbie I would like to offer that I have experienced nothing but good humour, generously offered support and great advice from the members of SRP who have vastly more experience than I.

I havre found no other source of information on wet shaving in general and anything specifically associated with straight razors that offers anything close to the depth and volume of what can be found here either in the archives of previous posts or the collective memory and experience of the mentors and long serving senior members.

The discussions that occur when differing perspectives on a topic are voiced are important and engaging and, from my perspective, have always been measured and gentlemanly and sprinkled with levity. They have been fun to read.

I feel fortunate to have found SRP and point anyone I meet who has an interest in wet shaving to it.
