I don't have a problem with the cost - I can understand the expense of quality machining to tight tolerences - but what I can not understand is how the stand (which to my eye is just a cylinder of steel with a hole drilled into it) adds about $125 to the cost of the set! Well, minus the cost of the 5 pack of blades, of course.

Joegags, I agree with you on this one. I cannot see paying the enormous price for the stand. The cost prevented me from buying the stand. I have parked the Feather in a good looking rack along with my other double edge razors. I wonder how many Feather owners actually did buy the stand.

LOL, yeah the cost of that "stand" sure does beat all. I guess that makes the cost of the razor a bargain.

+1 comments of joegags and obie. I just received my new Feather and have never seen this degree of craftsmanship in a DE razor before. Pictures simply don't do this thing justice. It truly has to be experienced by all the senses to fully appreciate what you're paying for.

that's good for you since feather has not made any new ones since the earthquake. I know they will be making more...however since the huge earthquake this year they haven't made any and that razor is on back order in all the places.

It comes up as "In Stock" at Italian Barber and RoyalShave. Did not "add to basket" just opened up the link and it was listed as either "In Stock" or "Buy Now"
