    Default Rolls Razor box codes

I've got a Rolls Imperial No.2 which I enjoy using occasionally, but I've noticed that the box on my model has some codes printed on the box. I've seen dozens of other boxed Rolls Razors since spotting this, but none of the others have them.

The photos (click here for album) will show what I mean, but on the front and rear edges of the box there are four smaller letters printed beneath "HOLLOW GROUND IMPERIAL NO.2". "S" is below the first "L" of "hollow", "L" below the "R" of "ground", "O" below the "R" in "imperial" and "R" beneath the "N" of "no.2".

Has anyone else noticed anything similar on their examples?

The box I have does not have the smaller letters....interesting.

I've also noticed that the same letters are imprinted inside the sharpening unit: they're located on the inside edge of the strop release catch. I've read a suggestion elsewhere that the letters are effectively the word "ROLLS" in reverse (albeit with a single R), so maybe it's some kind of attempt to control the sale of grey imports.
