Default What is your favorite Gillette Tech model?

This was one of the most produced razors by Gillette, known for its mild shaves. Most people have at least tried one at some time or another. It comes in a few different varieties of handle, color, and even a travel model too. A simple well made product that has stood the test of time! I recently picked up a ball-end Tech.

Default I've got a couple Gillette DE's here's my Tech

I really like the Gillette Tech, it's a workhorse! Mine is the ball-end gold-plated??? kind, nothing fancy but gets the job done and it's quite pleasant to use.

    Hello, Muguser:

I have several Gillettes models, but only two Techs and both fat handle. Yes, the shave is mild, but good and comfortable. The Tech was a popular model and, as you note, many were produced. Until I acquire another Tech model and test it, I suppose, the fat handle Tech has to be my favorite.

    Regards,

    Obie

My favorite Tech, a birth year Ball End Tech made the 4th quarter of 1962 (same as me). Unfortunately, he seems to have aged much more gracefully than I have. Definitely not my most aggressive shaver but it seems to deliver consistent comfortable shaves
The older I get, the better I was

The Fat Handle Tech was my first DE and it sits like a war hero on my razor shelf. Since it was my first, I have a bias. I should have it bronzed.

My favorite Tech is my Gold Fat Handle, which was produced sometime between 1946 and 1951. Nice, smooth shaver, and I was fortunate enough to find one that has all of the finish left on it. For a slightly more aggressive shave, my pre-'46 Ball End Tech is great, as well.

My favorite Tech is a 1932 made in Canada fat handle. I also really like the 1950's ball end tech's for a little more mild shave.
