Its a tin that contains really strong (British, I believe) breath mints. You can purchase them at any drugstore. They're with the candy and other sundries at the checkout counter.

When empty, the tin can be used to store things--like used DE razor blades.

You can also purchase a DE blade tin online from some of the vendors who advertise here at SRP for $0.99.

The Altoids tin is a cheaper alternative, though.

Ah yes, thanks mate. I do remember them now. I don't buy mints, but I remember seeing them now that you have reminded me what Altoids are.

    Thanks mate,

Any of a hundred possible options come to mind.

If you make one make it so the blades do not escape by accident.

A can of juice, a can of condensed milk can have small holes
punched to drain/ drink the liquid and then cut a slot in the
top. A key is that no matter how you shake or rattle the container
a blade will not escape. At some point you will dispose of it
and you do not want to risk inflicting a cut on the unsuspecting.

Do not be tempted to make something that could
    shatter or pop open....

Yes I know you can drink it, if you have to, but it makes for a wonderful aftershave, but Rum is better.

Just a Joke my friend. I know what Vodka is, indeed I know it too well

Old topic, but I break mine in half and take the blades to each other. They'll never cut anything again.

I went to the local drug store and asked them for a large pill bottle. I offered to pay but when I told them what I was doing with it they gave it to me for free. Cut a slot in the top and there you have it, a blade bank that will hold tons of blades. When it's full, years from now, I'll simply wrap some duct tape around it and throw it away. We don't have a facility locally to recycle the steel in. I don't display it on the counter so I wasn't worried with how it looked. Also, I can see inside, so I can tell how full it is.
