There's a learning curve. For the first time or so out, you sound like you're doing pretty well. Honestly, the important part is, enjoy it. Technique is all. That includes, lathering, stropping etc....

Sounds like you did great. It only gets better from here on in. Even more so when you chuck those disposables, but that really is your call.
