I have no idea why that is, but to me, it doesn't really matter. Stick it to your arm hair- if it doesn't shave, it's not ready. That's the best test besides putting it to your face.

I never use this test to be honest. I've had razors that shave so well I don't even feel it shave, and none of them passed the test. I see it as a "look what I can do" performance rather than test....
