Since starting cold water shaving I did notice a reduction in razor bumps but they are still here. I'm not using any pressure other than the weight of the blade so it must be my preshave routine....

I think I may try hat water again sometime in the future but I like the cold water shaving, aside from the reduced irritation, it is very refreshing.

But I have a question, what is the quickest...

My last couple of shaves with hot water were certainly less than what should be expected from a straight razor shave. The first time I used the razor I honed and it was not the most pleasant shave...
