I got the blade for the purposes of learning to hone. I got it for $25 so I'm not worried about damaging it (although I'm doing my best not to :)).
So how do you get rid of that "devils spit"? -

I bought a razor on ebay and I have a couple of things to "fix" which I could use some help:
Rust - There were a few rust spots on the razor including the spine. I used a trick I found here about...
