There is a reason why I don't use magnification that high. It can make any bevel look bad with all those striations that you don't see with a 20x loupe. I'd rather not drive myself crazy.

I am the same as you and do 4 passes. Always wondered about the one pass shave. I have never gotten one even with a Muhle R41 and Feather blade. I don't think my edges are that crappy or technique...
