tonight I honed my old Crown and Sword with the dilucot and didn't have the success I had with the Dubl duck yesterday. I think the C&S must be a bit harder steel and will require a bit more effort.

After wrestling with my NOS Dubl Duck Goldedge for a couple of weeks, I re-re-re-re-read the dilucot method, put it through the paces and finally got a very smooth shave! My first honing success...
