A second razor is still good to have. When you send one out for Honing you'll still have a sharp razor. Or if you chip an edge on the sink, etc. It's a good insurance policy to have.

The leather in your strop, however, is highly sensitive and if it receives too many laps too quickly it will deteriorate rapidly. One needs at least two, preferably three strops...
