In all fairness I have been sharpening / honing all sorts of knives for years. Honing a razor is very different (requires better technique and a lighter touch) but the experience helped a great deal....

I'm rather fond of the larger razors, 6/8 7/8. I'm currently shaving with 2 7/8 and they are superb, I've tryed to 5/8 to but somehow they dont feel and shave a nice as the bigger once ;)
