Thank you it was a toss up between the maple and a holly burl I have, but they tend to crack no matter how dry they are.

"It lathers better than my soap" SWMBO. Btw her soap costs $9 a bar from a local soapmaker, who just melt and pours basic glycerin soap and adds EO and occasionally abrasives. Can we say ripoff?

I actually have made soap from scratch, but really am curious of what recipes people use. There are a lot out there, I've already found some I don't like.

Really nothing worth looking at yet. The restore and my homemade both look very amateur, but workable. I'll post my brush, cup and bowl soon. My 'puter is dead so for now its all vis cell phone.
