I just got my razor and strop today. I'm just afraid to strop it because i'm afraid to harm this beautiful shave ready blade.

So with this razor do i definitely want to get the strop, or just learn to use it and get the strop later?

Is it ok to not strop it for a few shaves? or is it best to strop before and after? i've heard everything from 'only use 40 passes' to '100 passes'. I just get conflicting info.
