Well that's fair enough. Perhaps when you find one, try a wedge. Some people find them better on the head - personally it makes no difference for me, except that on some wedges with very wide bevels...

Sorry, it wasn't meant to freak you out! Perhaps you are not quite ready to tackle the head yet but don't give up - one day you will know the joy of using a straight razor on a smooth head!

It is probably easier in many respects once you get over the issue of not being able to see what you are doing at the back. Having experience with how a straight feels on the face is the key really...
