That's what makes this an expensive hobby. For our anniversary, I got a 6/8 Dovo and an SRD strop. My wife got $1500 worth of furniture. :eek:

I have the SRD 3" Red Latigo strop and I heartily endorse it. It has great draw. Also, SRD sells replacement leather in case there is a stropping mishap.

A spike isn't that hard to use, but a round point is more forgiving. If this is your first str8, I'd go with the round point.
