Double duck hand forged
Today a customer of mine showed me some strait razors that were her uncles, her uncle and father were barbers back in the late 50s they for the most part had been misshandled chips chunks missing except for 2 and one cought my eye a double duck hand forged with yellow scales having grain running lengthwise maybe a 4/8 blade. I believe it was all original and apart from some heavy hone ware looked to be in very good condition. Uniform blade hight even bevel etc. Im going to ask her to trade me out that razor for some work and am wondering what might be a fair price/trade amount and any info on the scales etc. that might be availible from u guys.

Pictures would be a big plus, but in your situation, I understand that might be hard to do. Worth is what you would be willing to pay for it as it's not allowed to value razors on this site. Another thing that makes a difference is what is your time worth? I feel pretty highly of myself, so I'm worth a lot for one day work. Others might not feel the same. Plus what work you doing would make a difference too. Yard work, rewiring a house, writing computer programs to get rid of her porn and organizing her 15,000 pics on her computer. You get what I'm trying to say.
It's just Sharpening, right?

not a rare razor at all, and more than likely if used in a barber shop has been worn away. its worth what you want to pay, but not much Tc
