Brings to mind this old piece-I hope all will enjoy--

The larvae also dilutes the dressing with the excess water. Taking the gelatinous center away is a textural option. That salad is actually very hearty because of the cooked leeks. The tomato petals stick with that mouthfeel giving you something to bite into rather than slurp down. When I was taught to make salads I was told that you can sell ten cents of produce for fifteen bucks but it has to be good and that we better pay attention to details.

    Egg plant. Where's the egg?

Wiki: Eggplant is a species in the nightshade family grown for its edible fruit. Although eggplant is the common name in many countries, in British English, it is called aubergine.

I forgot where Dave put his tomato pie recipe but I am going to have it for supper so I will post here.

It could go here, for breakfast, in the garden or the cast iron threads?

My wife's idea to use the cast iron.

Here it is ready to go in the oven.Name: tomatopie.jpg
