    Thanks for the compliments gents.
    I went with a beeswax paste after sanding to 600 for quite some time.
    End grain took forever to clean up all the tool marks sadly.
    Still struggling with swooping cuts on bowls.
    Thank goodness there is sandpaper to soften our mistakes.

    Very cool use of horseshoes!
    Would borrow the inspiration if I knew a source for shoes.

    As pharmacyst in a little town, mostly I use my PC and my words.

    I get most of the shoes off Ebay - these were from someone selling them for about $1.25 each but has since raised the price. I get a lot of the that are used/dirty/rusty and sand blast them myself. My wife does competitive trail riding so she is involved with horse people and I get asked to make them.
