I would recommend starting out shaving only parts of your face instead of trying to do the entire canvas. Work on your cheeks and get used to using both hands. My first couple of times I filled the sink and a big glass with hot water. I would put pre-shave oil on and lather up one cheek and focus on my shave. Then soak a towel in the sink, wring it out and wrap my face, lather the other cheek and focus on shaving with the other hand. Then did the same for both sides of my neck. I think it took me 30 minutes the first couple of times? haha Then I worked on my jawline, chin and around my mouth after I built my confidence with my technique. I didn't try to shave my entire face for a few weeks.

I've used some 2.5 inch strops and I much prefer the 3 inch models. It's worth the small price increase for the extra size.

What guy wouldn't pay $20 for an extra half inch? 😄

This seems to be the going theme around my place since all of my hones and rocks are three inches as well.

3+3 is 6 in my book hahaha we're still short. LOL! I'm going with a 3" because I really don't want to have to learn any more than I have to. I did get my razor today and I'm all giddy to go home and shave tonight hahaha. I'm really happy with the razors look now let's see how the shave goes. Ill update tonight and include a couple more pics of the razor.

So I had my first SR shave tonight. It actually wasn't horrible. No blood or ER visit so that's a good start. I think they will improve as I get more finesse with the blade. There are parts that were pretty close and others that were ehhh. I think my lather may have been to thick because I did feel some pulling but I think it was user error. I really need to get used to the left hand and any tips on cleaning up side burns would be great. So the experience wrapped up was this doesn't seem to bad and with practice I think I can get it but I will still have to shave in the morning with my fusion.
