Thread: i am now a real shaver!

i have been collecting and redoing razors for a little bit now but i wanted just the right time and razor to start shaving with a straight . i have to admit i was scared a touch and with the razors and old strops i have aquired i have been trying to get the right mix. i have an affinity for the vintage stuff and i have been trying to find vintage parts to make my first experience what i wanted. i just recieved my lucky 7 razor today and it was what i chose to be the first. i know, i have a dovo inox and i have jr torreys and i have a beautiful red imp! but i for some reason wanted the 7 to be the one. i was elated i sharpened stropped and lathered. it was everything i had hoped for it was awesome!i had the nice bay rum lather smell and the sound of the razor cutting the whiskers was all i hoped for. i am hooked!it was the most exhilarating thing i have done in quite some time and i have been telling everyone i finally did it! you all with all your talk made it possible, the information on here is quite comprehensive thank you everybody!
