    Default my first shave

Well i did my first shave with a straight razor today. I probably should of waited for my recently purchased freshly honed vintage to come in, but i shaved with a kind of sharp straight. I spent more time maken sure i had the door locked ( i think i checked it every 10 sec) my first aid kit, phone, and preparing my self for the worst. Not only did i do a full shave, i did it with out a cut. I do believe this is the best shave i had ever done my self. Granted i do have a chin strap but i think i just found the key to injoying shaveing. Now to wait for a good sharp razor to come in and see if i can repeat this with out making a few scars with it lol

Enjoyed reading about your first straight shave baptismal. Is is scary, but three years into this odyssey I think the scary thing is the fact that the majority of people are suckered into the multiblade razor racket. I had 40 years of bad shaving experiences before seeking an alternative.

You're doing great. Keep up the good work!

I have some irritation on my lower neck but other than that its good. I got a better shave with it than a disposable. I did 3 passes wtg, xtg, atg. My checks are the hardest, the razors longer than the space between sideburn and mustache.

I am in Nashville right now! Have been past 5 years. But moving this Sunday to West TN, back to my hometown. Hopefully I find work there.

Anyway, CONGRATS ON A GOOD FIRST SHAVE! I was like you and did plenty of research and did quite well on my first. 11 shaves in, I've vastly improved already. I hope you have the same luck!
