Default New Guy Here... sort of

Hey everyone, I made this account a very long time ago; and just forgot about it. My name is Ryan and I'm from IL. I'm a member of every shave forum known to man, but call TSD my home. I have been using a DE for over a year. Maybe I can call this my home away from home.

Anyways, I am very new to straight shaving. I gave myself my first straight shave about 6 months ago. It took me until a couple of weeks ago to buy my own straight. I bought a sight unseen straight from Whipped Dog. That razor is a Wade & Butcher 5/8".

It isn't very pretty to the average eye, but I think it's amazing. So I'm ready to learn and will post pictures here in a little bit.

Nice to meet everyone too btw.

Hi Ryan, and welcome to SRP! You lucked out on your sight unseen deal - even an ugly W&B will probably be a great shaver.

As you may have already found out, we love pics here, so feel free to share, and of course to ask any questions that pop up along the way. There's a real friendly and helpful bunch of folks here who like to help out whenever possible.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
