Thread: Advice for beginners wanting to use both hands.

I tried my left hand on my second shave and found it easier than i thought it would be. I don't use my left hand for much other than drinking when my right hand is busy. Still is instinct for me to use my right hand for my whole face but i make a point when i reach the middle to switch hands. Odd thing i have found is that certain angles are easier with opposites (right side of face with left hand, etc.) mostly just under the jaw line though.

If you are not ambidextrous at all, or want to build muscle memory while still shaving you could try shaving with a different kind of razor (whatever you were using before you started SR shaving.

As a jr member I watched most videos out there too. And a lot of reading on this forum. However anorher useful tip a got from a barber was to practice on my legs...now, as I'm a roadrace biker this wasn't a problem for me at all. I did get some nicks on the knee and just above the heel but that's better than my face. Plus it's a big surface to practice on.

There are really cheap shavettes out there. If you're realy struggling, get one of those and practice without a blade in. Real (ish) feel with no danger.
