I saw them today so I think he is still doing them. I was just trying to do it the cheap way but those cases are pretty awesome. I might just have to bite the bullet.

Yes, I did a quick search after posting, and found his website. I would recommend him and his cases. He was (and still is most likely) a trusted member here a while back. Haven't seen him posting for a while though. Bite the bullet. It's always for the best in the long run.

I just searched for Alembic, and his last activity here on SRP was 1/4/2013.

99 cents at an antique store. I keep the heat on in the BT so humidity is not a problem. Haven't had any problems even before I started doing that.

OK... Just realized that the one linked is "imitation leather". So no tanning concerns then, but breathability would be a concern for me - even more so than with leather. You would effectively be encasing your razor in plastic, so some sort of humidity control would be important.
    Easy solution: silicone gel packets.

I use mineral oil on my blades and just wipe them down before use. Should I not use Mineral oil?

Hey guys. I am alive, kicking and still selling the AlembiCase.

Many appologies for my absence. I took on a new job at work and my time is extremely limited. I read the posts here regularly to stay abreast of topics, but I don't get to post like I used to. Fortunately this position will end in November and it is back to my regular schedule.

I still need a answer for Mineral oil. Is it going to damage my blade?
