    Default Hello from a new straight razor shaver

    Hello everyone. I just wanted to say hello and that i really enjoy and benefit from the advise and expereince that is on this site. I'm only 6 shaves into my straight razor career and am being coached by my son who recently returned home from Afghanistan. Some of those shaves have been better than the others but i think that I will eventually get the hang of it. I've attached a photo of my new razor.

    Thanks very much for a great site and I seem to learn something new every time that i visit that makes the next shave that much better.

    Welcome John! I'm a little bit in front of you in terms of number of shaves but still climbing the learning curve of using a straight. I'm also learning to hone with a cheap razor I bought and am enjoying that as well.

    I am new to SR shaving as well and have two shaves down. I am currently using a disposable SR but should be getting a real SR soon.
