So in my 33-year history of shaving with an Atra Plus, I found that breaking up the routine once a week, either with an electric razor (I've had a Norelco, a Remington and a Smooth Operator) or just by skipping a day or two over the weekend, helps my Monday shave to be the best I'll get all week.

Alternatively, during certain extended periods (several months) where shaving every 24 hours was not required by my employer, I found that shaving about every 30 to 36 hours was better overall in smoothness and reducing irritation.

With that in mind, in conjunction with the FANTASTIC shaves I've managed to pull off with my C-MON Cadillac after only a couple of weeks of doing this, it occurs to me that my current regimen of only shaving with the SR for 4 or 5 days out of the week is perhaps the best overall for my current situation.

How many others are imposed upon to be clean-shaven every morning, but could really benefit from a little more or less than 24 hours between shaves or skipping a day, and how do you deal with it?

I mentioned Maxi's thread because it popped up while I was writing this, and the travel question is also relevant here. I also travel a lot, so I'd probably just be taking my old travel Atra along without thinking too much...
