Thread: Any reason why a vintage razor can't be shave ready?

Sounds like he wasn't happy w/ the original honing he did. Sometimes you don't get the one and done honing everytime; sometimes there is something that just needs a bit of tweaking or some extra time on a finisher, or the bevel that you thought was 100% set turns out to only be 90%, it's trial and error w/ a blade you've never touched before. If he says it hasn't passed his expectations of what it should that's a good sign as far as his workmanship. A good resotrer will make a razor pretty and descently shaveable, a great restorer makes the blade function as well or better than its form.

I'm not expecting you to name names, but just how reputable is this individual? Just something else to consider...
