Default Ingrown hairs gone... Lacerations begin

While waiting for my straight kit to get here i had my third ever shavette shave today with a shark SE blade. I have been happy that i no longer get ingrown hairs with this method of shaving. Today was nearly perfect. Awesome lather with my new mama bears soap, two passes with no problem, third pass was going great until the last spot on my chin then, maybe getting a little cocky... 1/2 inch vertical slice directly in the middle of my chin. and the learning continues

It's the cheek/jaw on my wtg that always gets me. That's the easy bit so I start daydreaming. My razor is an excellent alarm clock however, it always wakes me up & reminds me to pay attention.

Everyone has a problem spot, mine is between my chin and my second chin on my ATG pass. You would think I'l learn to stretch more . . . naaaaaaaaa

I just pasted this at another thread. It might help here too.

I've watched so many of this guy's videos.

So he doesn't do an ATG pass on his chin or lip. He seems to only go ATG on his cheeks and neck. Is that typical? I can't believe I can get a BBS shave without going ATG on my stubbly chin and lip (which I cannot yet do with a straight)...

I have to do all 3 passes on my chin to get it close. That being said, my trouble area is a small strip I can't get a good stretch by pulling it up over my chin bone or down below. In that small area I don't really do atg, it's more like wtg, then 2 xtg passes from opposite side, angled a little toward an atg pass. Imagine trisecting a circle, 3 lines 120 deg apart. That's what I do there.

Edit: My upper lip only gets wtg & xtg

Ouch. Hope the cut heals well and quickly. Good luck.
