Okay, spike tip - it's on. I know you're great at edges and fine details, but you apparently are also somewhat of a sadist with a penchant for pretending my face is sushi. Let's get one thing straight... I am in charge, not you. My face is not a pumpkin to be carved, and you need to learn your place in the world.

you might want to give that a couple days before letting the razor see that. it will just search out and re-open that scratch. points are fun but you got to respect them.

well i just assumed he got the nick on the first pass and prudently stopped before finishing the shave.

Pain makes the rest of the shave go much quicker. It may not be better,
but it is quicker.

I can surely relate to that and sympathize as well. Chicks dig scars they say and, you did get that cut during a manly pursuit!

I got in charge of my square / spike points so much that I keep them slightly muted and it makes all the difference to me.

Yeah, I am using a razor with a pretty unmuted heel spike. Yesterday I was trying to do a shave in 20 minutes (usually takes me 35) since we had to leave to go someplace, and I predictably got a couple scratches on my left cheek and chin a little less bad than yours. Oops!

IMO a first razor, if a spike, should have a muted point. The muting can be done so that you can't hardly see it with the eye and after a couple of honings the true spike will return.

Cool thing about a razor that is truly "razor sharp" is that those types of cuts really don't hurt when they happen...only afterwards.

Heal up and get back on the proverbial horse.

BTW, most all of us have had some "pink lather" at some time or another...
