IMO a first razor, if a spike, should have a muted point. The muting can be done so that you can't hardly see it with the eye and after a couple of honings the true spike will return.

Cool thing about a razor that is truly "razor sharp" is that those types of cuts really don't hurt when they happen...only afterwards.

Heal up and get back on the proverbial horse.

BTW, most all of us have had some "pink lather" at some time or another...
