    Default First shave..... Successful!

Just had my first straight razor shave, and I am please to report that I am still alive! Was nervous, so I only went once WTG on my face, and also went AGT on my neck. Only nicked myself once on my chin, and it hardly bled at all.

Grats. I had nicks all up and down my cheeks the first time I shaved.

ATG on the neck on the first shave is pretty brave! Well done!

Well then you're not trying hard enough!

No, that's great. There's no shame in using your previous technology for a while, as you get more comfortable with the straight. I took about four months to transition all the way over. My Adam's apple was the last bit to master. It's a black-diamond run with the straight.

Keep up the good work. And, in the immortal words of Han Solo, Don't get cocky, kid!

I, on the other hand, refused to use anything other than a straight for months, no backing down and using 'previous technology' for me! It took me a while to relax a little and use a DE once a week!

im coming up on shave 10 and i already feel way more confident than when i started , i dont know if thats a good thing or not lol. only thing i really have trouble with is the right side of my face..... i have very poor vision in my right eye and makes it tough to get it good and smooth with out haveing to stop and feel and look really close in the mirror. i have not had the erge to pic up a modern 1,000 blade throw away blade at all . you are doing great trust me it only gets better and more addicting!
