    For me, the point doesn't matter. Learn to use the heel of the blade. Offers much better control for edging and shaping than the toe does.

    Round but only because it's all I have. I also use the heel though, I find it's easier to control. I don't find it at all difficult with a round point though, if I did I'd be in a bigger hurry to get a spike point razor.

    I too have enjoyed lately letting a week or two grow(while trimming with a de) and then slicing it all off. Very rewarding.

    I use the heel as well.

    I am glad to see I'm not the only one that really enjoys a straight when you have caveman growth.

    +1 on using the heel. My goatee grows in really well except on either side of the patch just under my lower lip, and the whiskers in those two areas grow in horizontally. I use the heel to shave WTG towards my cheek on each side. So much easier than trying to shave that place with a cartridge.

    To me, there is nothing quite like shaving off a weeks worth of growth with an extra hollow razor. Makes you realize why they are called "singing" razors.
