    Default straight razor desings

just got my dovo prima klang and a 3" red latigo strop. this is my first real straight razor. up until now ive been using a dovo shavette. when i went to straight razor designs don was able to answer all of my questions and help me pick out the right set up for me. he also answered my emails at an unbelievable fast speed. he was very knollegable! i got my razor extreemly fast and it came professionally honed by lynn. i couldnt wait to get home and shave. when i did it was so unbelievable smooth at first i thought it wasnt shaving!!! i thought it was just gliding ontop of the whiskers! this razor has brought me so much joy and the strop is really easy to learn on because of its wide width. i cant say enough great things about straight razor designs!!! if you are beginning out i highly recommend that you check them out. they will now forever have my loyalty and business thats for sure!!!

Sounds like you're off to a good start, but, as has been mentioned before, all claims of shaving equipment acquisition are moot without photographic evidence of same!

my first setup came from SRD as well and I made a post just like yours. I have never had a razor shave as smooth as the ones I get honed by Lynn. His skills are literally magic!!! I found a new honemeister close to me that I have been getting to hone my razors that is mighty close to Lynn but still doesnt have that amazing shave edge. This really reminds me that I miss that smoooth shave and I need to send my blade back to him. anyway lol. enjoy your razor, I know you will. Post some pics of your new setup!!!

Wait, wait, wait...You're saying one of the founders of this website can hone razors? I don't believe it!

No worries. I had a bit of trouble figuring out which one was Glen and which one was Lynn for a long time myself. Luckily, they were both capable and helpful, along with most everyone else I ever asked a question of. Congratulations on your purchases!

Nice start. Remember, that with SRD you get one free honing when needed. Very Best, John
