It takes a big man to apologize in a public forum, so to that I say cheers to you and your new-found skills

No apology needed. A whole new world will open up and NOW you will really know the difference between shave ready and not shave ready. When you have that down, then it's time to get a second used razor that is honed up by a pro, and invest in a barber hone. Use the fresh honed razor as a yardstick to compare razor#1 to when it needs touching up. When you can
"fresh" your razor without problems, then look out. You will become a hone junkie and forsake television!!!LOL Really, all the best and have a GREAT SR journey. Very Best, John

You are not alone either my friend.

My first shave was great, then after that for quite a period they got worse and worse, until I discovered that I wasn't stropping well at all. Once I started getting the razor maintenance down I started getting consistent shaves and stopped butchering myself every day.

No apologies required!! I did the exact same thing!!

Wishing you happy shaves from here on out!!
