    Default Strop Paste

I started off with an el cheapo razor strop and just ordered one of the sets from Straight Razor Design, the 3" Black Latigo Leather with matching Webbing and the Boker King Cutter straight razor. "Nice" However, my question to the forum is, I have never used any strop paste on the webbing side of my strop I have now and want to know how imperative it is to do, being I have read that some use it and some don't. I do oil down the leather side with Fromm leather oil. Is it important to paste the webbing side or is it optional ?

If you want to paste a strop, and paste your cheap strop. keep the linen clean on the new strop

I recommend you just buy a balsa bench strop with CrO on it. I got one from ebay and I find it highly effective.
