I'm waiting on my order to get here from Larry at WhippedDog. Pleasure to deal with!! I got a shave ready razor, strop, balsa strop with dressings and full sized barbers hone for $70. The thing I like is Larry allows you to trade in your razor for a "new" one for the price of honing, $13 I believe. Gives beginners an inexpensive way to try different razors to see what bests suits their individual needs.

+1 BigTerp!! Larry is a great guy... Did you know his wife sews the razor rolls?? Just FYI for all.. I've talked to him for years, and he helped me get my first startup too.

Great guy, great prices, easy to deal with. Why, once I asked him about a barber hone, and he said 'Let's both save some time here. I'll send it to you now, if you like it, pay me, if not keep it." Needless to say, he got paid!!!

It was almost a year ago that I started this crazy act (sharp blade near my throat). My first 'kit' came from an online shop. The cost was $40.00. For that I received a well used but shave ready and old razor, leather case, and leather strop. Still using them and getting very close shaves. Since then I have hit the antique stores as well. I now have over a dozen shave ready razors and each of superior quality...

    Happy shaves
