    Default The First Shave Post

    My "sight unseen" razor (Henckels 401 plat) showed up today. Needless to say, I was off to shave shortly after it arrived.

    As expected the razor isn't quite perfect, but it's sharp. At some point in the future it will be unpinned, cleaned up just a bit more, and perhaps rescaled.

    I promptly ignored the advice on the forum and shaved my entire face. Not a bad shave, but not perfect by far. A few nicks and my face is a touch raw. It's a nice close shave down to around the bottom of my chin and throat where I'd call it acceptable, but not quite DFS.

    I got the same razor from there. It is super sharp. You know you're shaving bacause hair and lather is on the blade, but it's like the hair grows back instantly.
