Thread: New strop and dressing just arrived

So my new strop is in along with a little bottle of Fromm strop dressing.

My question is do I need to apply the dressing right away?

It says "Illinois Razor Strop Co. Chicago" on the bottom (where the handle is, opposite the hanging hook) then there's a "127" in a sort of garland under the logo finally there's a large fleur de lis . It's got a second strop on the back made of linen (or hinted at by gold embossed writing that says "FINE WEAVE LINEN FINISH" ) branded "Barber's Best".

I bought it off amazon for 35 bucks. I figured lemme not go for the 75 dollar ones just yet. Here's a link:
