Default Hello! Look what I just got!

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

After reading everything about the hit and miss state of ebay I was a little nervous about pulling the trrigger, but I just got it in the mail (very very quick) and it's in great shape!

I am trying to figure out how to remove the stains without losing the Allentown "silkscreen" (I figure this has to be some sort of light acid etch) but I don't see that happening, so I might just live with the "character".

Other than that, while I wait for my strop to arrive I will probably send it off to one of the recommended honers on the list (is there anyone in South Florida?)

Then I guess it's off to enjoy the zen of shaving!

In way of introduction, I'm from NYC originally, work for the BBC (the Dr.Who side, not the news side) in Miami, live in Miami Beach and my other hobby involving metal is Mopar muscle cars.

    Anyone here from Miami Beach?

You definitely have a tough choice to make, one that I have made and regretted for making the wrong choice.
I have sanded to much on a nice etching on one razor and had to end up sanding all existence of it off. I very much regret it.

On another I simply used MASS metal polish and removed the gold plating off a like new razor.

Definitely take your time and weigh the options.
