    Default First stab at it.

Hi guys, well my shavette arrived the other day and I had my first go at shaving! I did how ever break what appears to be one of the ten shaving commandments! I shaved more then the one cheek on my first go, this was only because I nicked my cheek! Twice. I couldn't leave it at that because I would have been very disappointed so I ended up doing most of my face.
My technique was terrible, my face burned after and my bam stunk when I put it on! But I loved it! technique can be improved but enjoyment is the first thing.
I will be spending lots of time and money on this I think. Have ordered my first razor of whipped dog, Lenny was very friendly and more then helpful!
So let the good times roll!!

Attitude is everything..As Henry Ford once said "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right"

    One gentle suggestion?

Maybe you shouldn't use the word "stab" on a straight razor forum?

I didnt know about SRP when I fist started, so I did a two pass shave like I would of with any other razor. I looked like hamburger....shave after shave I did the same damn thing. Then I bought my 6/8 Dovo best. The heavens parted and the Choir sang....It was a completely different feeling and I was hooked. Still cant use that shavette worth a damn!!
