    Default First one!

After a small rant on how slow postal services can be, I realized I hadn't checked my mailbox today

    Upon closer inspection, a package

Either way, I opened it to unravel a bar of arko soap, and 2 shavettes..
the parker 31R, and the shaving factory shavette together with 100 derby blades, a boar brush, and styptic matches..

sofar i've tried the shaving factory shavette, and I have to say, it's much better looking than the parker, it also feels better..
However I still have to try the parker to see which one shaves better (the parker has a slimmer blade holder than the SF)

First step, hot towel while making lather..
surprisingly, I managed to make quite decent lather from the first try!
gently slapped that onto my face and let it work it's way into my stubble.

seeing as things were going so well when I tried to shave one side, I decided to go for a full shave, and ended up with only one no-blood nick that's barely worth mentioning!

and the best of all,.. none of the irritation I normally have when shaving with either my electric or various collection of cartridges!

Either way, this has given me something to do while waiting for my proper straights to arrive

congratulations on a good first shave fella, oddly enough i started shaving with a shavette i got for £3 - £4 at a local hair dressers, plenty of practice and then it was a lot more natural going to the straight.

dont forget to post some pics if you happen to pickup a nice straight, we all love piccies

    Thumbs up!
I also use Arko and I find it quite good. Instant, thick lather at a very good price. Bought meself 6 bars recently

    Good luck!
