Wow you have learned the "secret" to good horning Hone more razors ...
Hehe, I think you told me to hone a lot of razors in a PM a while ago, and I did! Got a bunch of inexpensive but decent straights on eBay, which I could work on without being afraid of ruining them, and it has paid off. Selling a few and making them shave-ready for others to use really made me pay attention to what I was doing as well.

There's no need to even own a JNat, Coticule, or Escher. These stones are worthless! Please PM me and I'll offer you a fair price before their value plummets!

Darn! And my Charnley should be arriving this week.

    To the op...

Yes there is a difference in the steels on razors, and the Wapi won't react the same the the pastes and the stone routine as the "TI" steel did...
Wapi's have a tendency to be rather soft I would try finishing on just the Na12k and leave out the TI paste altogether, and add in many more laps stropping, that should pull it together... If not, then drop to the N8k and finish on it only, followed by 100 laps of leather... Once you find the right combo to a comfortable shave on the Wapi, then you can try pushing it up to another level and see if the razor can hold that edge....

There are differences between steels. Its hard to be certain that two blades are starting at the same point, or that each stone is exactly the same wetness as you hone
